Colon Cut-off Sign of pancreatitis

 

Inflammation of the pancreas, classically the tail, causes focal reactive changes in the splenic flexure of the colon yielding a pseudo-obstruction and mild dilation of the proximal ascending and transverse colon but a paucity of descending colon gas
